Clinical Experiences for Medical School

Many students try to get patient contact experience, but quality experience is hard to get because of HIPPA, malpractice, liability, etc. You just can’t get close enough to a patient in most cases to do any real good. That’s not the case in Central America.
In Honduras and Costa Rica, I have witnessed the kind of disparity most of us can’t even imagine. Poverty and lack of medical resources that frankly contributes to the unnecessary deaths of countless people every year. In one week, you can help save the life of many people.
There are is a program I’m involved with that I really truly love: The Global Medical Brigade (GMB).
The Global Medical Brigade experience will impact you in powerful, emotional ways. You will finally put a face to the feeling, the passion inside your heart, changing forever the phrase, “I want to help people” to “I help the people of Honduras improve their lives.” I hope to see you in Honduras.
GMB also offers ‘open brigade’ weeks – anyone can come and you do not need to be a part of a club to participate in these weeks.
