Did You Know That You Can Prep For the MCAT
Without Spending Thousands on
Expensive MCAT Prep Courses?
- You don’t need to waste your hours in a classroom
- You don’t need to pay thousands of dollars on over-hyped prep
- You don’t need to buy overpriced MCAT prep books
- You don’t need to conform to a pre-made MCAT prep mold that doesn’t work for you
Don’t WASTE thousands of dollars on ludicrously expensive MCAT prep that you don’t need! I’m not saying that live MCAT prep doesn’t hold value — I’m saying that they charge you a lot of money for a bunch of stuff you may not need!
You don’t need hundreds of hours of classroom prep and thousands of pages of practice material. Those are features that pad the big MCAT courses to justify the insanely high prices.
Here’s what you need to know: You can prep at your own pace, from home, and still get the expert support you need to dominate the MCAT, but you don’t need to pay thousands, or even hundreds of dollars.

Here’s Why The “Classroom Model” of MCAT Prep Sucks
The “Classroom Experience” — The one big reason why MCAT prep companies feel that they can charge you upwards of $2,000 for MCAT prep. According to their logic, the classroom is where you’re accustomed to learning, so it must be the best way to deliver MCAT prep.
I think think their assumption is wrong, because your learning takes place in your bedroom, at the library, in coffee shops. Once you start college, classroom sessions become more and more of a hassle. No wonder some professors require attendance — There’s little reason to go to class when attendance isn’t required.
When you need extra help, you visit office hours. Direct contact with the instructor in a one-on-one or small group environment is how you overcome your biggest challenges. Otherwise, you’re good on your own.
MCAT Expertise Without the Classroom Hassle
The MCAT Club gives you the resources you need to study and practice on your own and overcome any big strategic challenges you’re having with your MCAT prep.
As a Verbal Reasoning instructor for the Princeton Review for eight years I witnessed all of the mental blocks that prevent premeds from breaking through to a higher score (And I had to schlep my butt to class every night! It sucked!)
Here’s what I learned, about MCAT prep, and it can change the way you prepare:
- The #1 reason for low practice scores is confusion and intimidation
- MCAT test-writers try to trip you up with games that you can readily overcome
- The logic of the MCAT is something that you can dominate
- Learning the material is only half the battle — the other half is overcoming the test

I will point you towards three free online practice materials, but additional study materials aren’t provided. This helps to keep the cost of the Club very low.

Prep Your Own Way With Independent Study Programs
There are two extreme types of MCAT prep programs out there that I have found to be quite flawed and in big need of an alternative that fixes the flaws.
There’s the near-militaristic live MCAT prep course that forces you to attend classes for an arbitrary amount of time. Whether this style works for you or not, you’ve got to do it their way once you’ve signed up.
Then there’s the 100% independent study programs that toss a ton of study material in your lap and leave you to work through it on your own. It’s the first — and hopefully last — time you’ll ever take the MCAT, so you’re not really sure how to guide your own study.
The MCAT Club gives you access to two structured study programs that will make your independent study as effective as it can be without forcing you into a rigid routine.
Think About How Much You Can Improve Your Score and
How Much Money You Can Save
The entire purpose of the MCAT Club is to provide a truly viable alternative to astronomically-expensive MCAT prep courses and books.
Expensive MCAT prep tries to pressure you with a subtle threat: “You can’t get a high score without us!” It’s simply not true. You can prep at your own pace with affordable online materials and still achieve that 32+ that you need for medical school.
Already Enrolled in a Live Course? That’s OK!
The MCAT Club is the Perfect Complement
I’ve thrown expensive MCAT courses under the bus, but I acknowledge that you may have already taken a course, or you plan to. If that’s the case, I still strongly encourage you to enroll in the MCAT Club because my program will offer you the “second opinion” you may need to break through to a higher score. What’s the risk? It’s costs less than a large sandwich!
How Much Does the MCAT Club Cost?
The MCAT Club costs less than one of these: |
|
Look through your most recent bank statement and I bet that you’ve spent more on sandwiches than you will on the MCAT Club!
There is no other online MCAT prep resource that comes close to the value that the MCAT Club offers! You’ll be SHOCKED when you see how expensive other online MCAT prep courses are!

“…I feel it is a singularly valuable tool that no applicant should be without.”
“…It supplements the traditional study programs with its frank individualized discussions about maximizing your strengths.
“The organized compilation of online videos…is finely-tuned as it stands currently.”
“Meetings are taped for online use, but I find it useful to pencil into my calendar each Monday evening meeting. The interactions I have received by active real-time participation are a valuable part of the MCAT Club.”
MCAT club is a great reference for anyone who is studying for the MCAT because of its flexibility.
The MCAT club resources provided a great overall content review while allowing me to focus on my ‘problem areas’ when I needed to.
It was also perfect for my busy schedule- I could study whenever I wanted to without having to block out time like a classroom prep course would.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What’s the structure of this program?
A: This is a structured program, but it’s unlike the structure you’re accustomed to. There’s the study schedule I wrote as part of the program, the weekly club meetings, and some other structures I recommend from trusted resources.
But instead of me imposing structure on you arbitrarily, it will be you imposing structure on yourself, based on your own assessment of strengths and weaknesses.
Q: Why don’t you provide more practice tests?
A: Printed practice tests are a big cost that would increase the price of a Club membership, and in my opinion most test prep resources sell you much more practice than you will actually use or need.
I provide you with three excellent free practice tests, and I can point you toward other places to purchase affordable practice tests as you need them.
Q: How is the MCAT Club so cheap? What’s the catch?
A: Here’s why I can charge so little money: There is no classroom to rent, no printed materials to ship, and I don’t the kind of overhead that the big test prep companies need to support.
Q: What’s the main advantage of the MCAT Club compared to other resources?
- The MCAT Club is affordable and convenient. Most other resources aren’t affordable and are inconvenient.
- Test-taking strategy and mindset is a primary focus of the Club. No other resource address the logic of the test and how to beat the test-writers at their own game.
- This Club helps you to get your feet wet in MCAT prep without spending tons of money. After a few months in the MCAT Club it will be much easier to convince your parents to spend money on a live course because you’ll be more in touch with your prep needs.
- You will learn how to overcome your test-taking fear and anxiety. No other test prep resources acknowledges how scary the MCAT is, and I address your fears and work with you to overcome them.
- I’ll also help you with your broader medical school admissions strategy. Other MCAT resources don’t address important application strategies around application timing, your personal statement, letters of recommendation, etc.
