Do you currently attend John Hopkins University as a pre-med student? Do you live in Baltimore, MD and are soon applying to medical school? Well, then you’re likely thinking of applying to the best of best — John Hopkins University Medical School. Here are some stats to see how you stack up to the competition:
- Number of applicants — 6,332
- Number of matriculants — 116
- In-state and out-of-state matriculants — 12.1% / 87.9%
- Average GPA — 3.91
- Average MCAT score — 36
This is a tough school to get into. John Hopkins is world-renowned for its biology departments and it certainly shows in the stats. However, beside the great school, what does the Baltimore had to offer? Well, it is the capital Maryland so it is also the heart of Maryland’s festivities. It is a large city with skyscrapers, shopping malls, and tons of local chains. The Walters Art Museum is a particular treat, with huge exhibits free of charge! To apply here you need to prepare yourself so I would suggest trying your luck and see how you fare with your grades and MCAT scores.
