First, I’d like to define my terms. There’s Action and then there’s Thinking. One is physical, the other is mental. Someone outside you can observe you taking Action. If you are Thinking, it looks like you’re sitting doing nothing.
The only things that show up on your application to medical school, the only things that really matter, are Actions. Sorry, but no one else can see the thoughts you think; no one can physically see your intentions. We can only see your Actions.
So Actions matter, and Thinking, no matter how noble, doesn’t. Hmmm.
Take action now. Right down all of the actions you took yesterday to get you closer to acceptance to medical school. For example, “I studied biology for an hour to prepare me to get an A on next week’s quiz.”
Now, look at the actions you are taking right now. And the actions you plan to take tomorrow.
