Heads up — if you’re looking for an easy to get into medical school, or if you’re building your list of medical schools you plan to apply to and you’re looking for safety medical schools, the info here is important for you.
In their recently-released list, the editors of U.S. News have identified the medical schools that received the most applications from the 2012 application cycle.
What I find most interesting about this article is first, that the list shows that several “safety” schools, including Drexel University, are among the most popular schools to receive applications from pre-meds.
I love that the writers took the time to consider acceptance ratios of the schools, which is a significant metric that gives context to the raw number of applications a school receives. Take a look at the article, but be sure that you evaluate the list, keeping in mind that a medical school class can be as large as 300 people.
