Are you a pre-med at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY or one living in the Ithaca area? If so, you’re definitely thinking of Weill Cornell Medical School in NYC (or at least you should be). Although it’s quite a drive from Ithaca to NYC, it’s worth it — it’s in the heart of the greatest city in the world and in the middle of a bustling nightlife with plenty of opportunity. Let’s check out some stats:
- Number of applicants — 6, 298
- Number of matriculants — 101
- In-state and out-of-state matriculants — 39.6% / 60.4%
- Average GPA of students — 3.77

I don’t think I need to sell NYC more to you than you already know. Boasting one of the best public transit systems in the world, you’ll get where you need to go in no time. Visit Broadway, or Central Park, or even the Museum of Natural History in no-time. If you manage to go to Cornell Medical School, you should be proud, but you need the grades to get there. Check out this link here for more information on how to ace your MCAT and get into the schools you want.
