Lisa Kudrow is best known for her work in Friends, but she’s also an accomplished producer and comedian. To add another career move to her long list of accomplishment might seem far-fetched, but I decided to see how well she’d fare in the medical field. Could Lisa Kudrow get into medical school? Let’s find out.
When making her medical school application, what could Lisa list as credentials?
- Graduated from Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.
- Received a Bachelor of Science degree from Vassar College with a concentration in biology.
- Worked on her father’s medical staff for eight years before pursuing acting..
- Is a successful actress and the recipient of multiple film awards.
During her time working with her father, Lisa got her work published. She was working on headaches and handedness — neat!
So far, so good. With her background in biology, Lisa has the know-how to study medicine.
Other than her lack of MCAT scores, there are not many application weaknesses. She has eight years of volunteering experience and a degree in biology. All she needs to do is channel these accomplishments into her application and MCAT and she has a good chance of attending medical school.
What Lisa Needs to Do
This is one of the first celebrity candidates I have reviewed that has a biology degree and therefore this puts Lisa in a very good position. All she needs to do is hit the books and study for the MCAT, do well, and apply. She will need to brush up her on biology though, since it’s been awhile since she received her degree.
I give Lisa a very good score — she has what it takes to be a successful doctor. Now that she’s at the height of her career, what better time for a career shift? Lisa gets my vote as an excellent medical school candidate!
