Are you currently a student at the University of Michigan and do you just love Ann Arbor? If you’ve answered “yes” to both these questions, you’re probably thinking of applying to the University of Michigan’s Medical School and I can’t blame you. It’s a choice you won’t regret.
Here are some AAMC stats and they look pretty good:
- Number of applicants — 5,441
- Number of matriculants — 171
- In-state and out-of-state matriculants — 21.4% / 78.6%
- Average GPA — 3.77
- Average MCAT score — 34.35
Ann Arbor is a beautiful city and there’s plenty of things to see. Not to mention, Kensington Beach is only 20 minutes north of the city! Ann Arbor is walking-friendly, you don’t even need a car. Everything is so close that the city almost feels like a close-knit community and there’s cheap places to eat — just to name one, A Knife’s Work prepares cheap take-home meals with local, organic, and hormone-free foods for under $10! All in all, it’s a great school. Think about applying if you have the necessary stats.
