A lot of pre-meds brush this part off and don’t put much effort into explaining just why they’re interested in the schools they’re applying to. A lot of the writing on this part of the application is just plain bad from what I’ve seen, but that does not mean yours has to be! You need to transcend that so you can impress the admission committee. It certainly makes the difference and it could give you that extra edge.
