Hi there! Welcome to the live version of Save My GPA.
You got this because you volunteered to participate in the live version of my new course “Save My GPA!”
On this page you’ll find all the instructions — what to do, how to prepare, where to go, how to get into the recordings, etc. So, um yeah, it’s going to be a Real Good Idea to read thru this whole thing, and follow each step along the way.
I’m going to create a new course called “Save My GPA.” The course will be a series of online videos that teach my unique approach to study skills, time management and note taking, as well as an attitude about college classes and grades.
You have been kind enough (big “THANK YOU!”) to offer to be part of that training, so I’m going to record the training live with all of you, and then turn it into videos online, blah blah. (You’re going to be famous, woot!)
How it will work
I’m going to create a Google Doc that we will all be sharing, and I’m going to provide you with a conference line to call in on. So we’ll be talking on the phone while we’re working on this Google Doc together. So that’s the big picture of what’s going to happen, and, of course, it means you’ll need some stuff: your phone (headset is a good idea), your computer, big internet connection, and access to the Google doc.
Here are the steps you need to take now:
1. Reserve these dates and times in your calendar
Thursday, January 5 at 3 pm (all times are pacific time zone. if you’re not in pacific time, you need to convert time zones or you’ll miss the call.)
Friday, January 6 at
9 10 am <– note timechange!
Sunday, January 8 at 10 am
Monday, January 9 at 11 am
Each call will last about an hour or so … Plan to be on all of the calls, and be sure you have a few minutes extra before and after the call so you can dial in, get settled on your computer, etc., etc.
2. Write down this conference line number:
Six digit conference code 540846
Call that number a few minutes before the meetings. If you have never used a conference calling system before, go ahead and call now to practice. It’s easy.
3. While you are calling in to the conference line, open this Google Doc:
That’s it! That’s all you’ll need … how easy is that? I’m telling you, it will be AWESOME!
So please go thru the steps above right now, test everything and make sure you can see everything, and if you’re stuck, call me at 714 248 6550 today to get it worked out. When you call me, I’ll ask you “Where are you stuck?” so be sure you can describe the problem (aka read the instructions and test everything yourself before you call, if you know what I’m saying).
Thanks and I’ll talk with you very soon!
